Check out 125th anniversary Savage 110. Only 1894 being make. 243 Win, 6.5 Creedmore, 250 Savage. 300 Savage and 308 Win. Might yet order one in 250 Savage. If I can't shoot it, give it to my grandson.
Sounds like a good plan. I bought the Ruger #1...

In 250 Savage. It's still a great caliber that I like much better than any of the 6mm rounds.
I looked at the Savage Anniversary Rifle and it's a sight to behold.

Much better than any of the 6mm. Also less recoil than 6.5 Creedmoor. I think I will buy it and have a muzzle brake install on it.
It's a great Contender round too. Has a 14" barrel..

My dad had 3 model 99's. 2 300's and 1 308. Fine guns, The oldest one in 300 with the brass rotor was the best. He killed about 5 deer with it and killed 1. Traded them all off or sold them before he died. Good to know about 250 Savage in a Contender.
One day I'll have a model 99

In 250-3000. Do any of you remember how Savage came up with that name? A pawn shop had one that was a rust bucket. He wanted $599 for it. Tired to talk him down several times. I wanted to re condition it. It finally sold a year and a half later.
