While on my travels around Arizona I ended up with several sixguns that need work. One of them was this old Uberti imported by Allen some years ago.

Missing a few parts and a bit used I liked the looks of the old thing. I have parts and pieces and began going through them until I found things that fit fairly well.

The hammer was the hardest part to fit up since these early guns have a larger hammer screw than the older ones. Several hammers had the right size bolt hole but the firing pin was located too high or too low. I finally found a combination that worked ... AFTER I fitted the hammer. It was hitting the frame and the firing pin would not come through far enough to light off the primer. I spent part of the day yesterday getting it going.

It is a copy of the Colt 1st generation blackpowder frame.

The barrel looks like the inside of an old gas pipe. I figure it must have been used with blackpowder and let rust some. I fired it in the shop a few times and will take it to the range this week and see how it does.
