ROA post below got me curious so searched the web for ROA and found some supposedly NIB for $1,200+ mfr in late 70's, and one used SS for $700 with German Proof Marks on frame and side of barrel, mfr in 1975 and plain 889 SN without a prefex.
Proofs look legit and match the Proof House in City of Ulm, but why are German Proofs on an American Ruger? Top of barrel and frame show Ruger name. Could this be a fake or a replica?
Next would be trip to Flag for new 45LC cylinder instead of BP.
