Allison and her fight with cancer...

Subject: UPDATE ON ALLISON

... I have been waiting to write an update hoping we'd have more progress information to share with you ...Allie is still in a healing stage from the liver surgery of 9 weeks ago... it was a HUGE and her recovery has been steady but, we hope, good... There is still an infection lurking in her colon-rectal area that must heal before they can even think of re-connecting her ileostomy... She is still waiting to hear if she can have the hyperbaric oxygen chamber sessions... sine they can be very healing, we are anxious for her to begin them, but, so far...none are scheduled...Allie was diagnosed when she was 40 and her 42nd birthday is coming up this April 15th... i don't think any of us, even we who have been with her daily/weekly through this journey can even begin to grasp how tired Allie is of ALL of this medical fiasco... 10 surgical procedures in 17 months... not to mention the daily pain and exhaustion... April will begin her 18th month of illness and treatment !!! and , through it all , she forges ahead daily, weekly, monthly, ... we are always talking about her ,future , hopefully, soon to come, a chance to live a LIFE... it will be a "new" normal but she is MORE than ready !!! some of Allie's friends have asked me what would be an idea for her birthday ??? then, one of her friends came up with a great suggestion... send Allie birthday cards.. all through the month of April..so they arrive over many days and include, if you so choose, a VISA gift card... Sdhe can use Visa cards for any and all financial needs.. she has plenty of clothing, candles, essential oils, etc that so many of you have sent and she uses daily...and she thanks you !!! so, here is her address, 3429 Ray Street, San Diego, Ca., 92104... your personal words of encouragement mean a great deal to her !!! please do continue to keep her in your prayers !!! and i will keep you updated as days progress !!! love to you all,
