The biggest challenge is figuring the resolution. You want lower resolution for longer play time. Then after you get a video you really need to learn and become familiar with a video editing software on your computer. A long video with lots of "fill" time is so boring. You'll need to learn to clip and insert video clips to trim down time and data space. It takes me a very long time to upload even a short 30 second video to youtube etc.

Look at some other videos you watch very critically and note the details you do not like. Excessive dialogue, no action parts, excessive panning, etc. It will make you a better videographer.

Also for sound in windy conditions (like on my motorcycle) I band a piece of open cell foam over the mic, that really helps the wind whistle and lets the motor sound come through. I hate a guy trying to video riding a Ducati and the wind whistling so loud you can't hear the motor. Goofy ass music for backgound is NOT my cup of tea either, so suit yourself. Have fun.
