My good friend Alan went to the range this afternoon. Today was his last day today where we work together and he is heading off to another opportunity. Decided a little range time before his new gig would be the thing. Good thing he wears glasses as the slide dented one of the lenses.

Anyone ever seen a failure like this before?

It may not correlate exactly but UMAREX

Made that gun, the air gun company. I had an UMAREX CO2 copy of the Walther PPK/S that had a blow-back slide. Fantastic training piece that shot steel BBs. Now I shot the literal whizz out of it over 2-3 yrs, but it failed in exactly the same manner. The end of the slide, however that pot metal front is welded to the rest, seperated. Actually I really like UMAREX and they should stand behind that failure and get him a new gun.

Hate your fun ended with that, but so thankful no ER visit was required!

He looked around the googles and found

that this failure happened with some of their slides. Yes they are taking care of it, hopefully a new pistol is on the way.
