Had these both out at the range and the thought was "This probably is what I would have chosen Then, and Now. Finally got my CCW for FL last Thurs. night, so this was a logical result.

The SAA 45LC is a Uberti through Taylor, the G19 is a custom I've working on for 5 years, finally got it "perfect".

So, what would be your Self Defense choices, Then and Now?

Quite often I still use the "Then"

I carried a single action sixgun concealed for many years and still do at times. It always served me well and I still trust it.

Always carry Then

My carry gun is a Ruger 4 5/8 45 Colt Blackhawk. It is loaded with Hornady 250 gr. XTP. Always 1 shoot kills, wild dogs, possum, coons, and deer.

in 45ACP, 4" bull barrel, etc., got into the 9mm Glock thing about 6 years ago... My "Then" was a SAA, 45LC 4-5/8" barrel, a fixer-upper, cheap, but handy and very accurate at 25ft.

"OFFICIALLY" COLTS ARE 4-3/4" AND
