Gary what are your thoughts on this new 7.6?

Large amounts of people must fall for this junk, or they wouldn't do it. Either pride and arrogance on Hornady's side and/or foolish on the consumers side. Consumers going to go for this? People who go for this must just want the name so they can say they have it. Or, just trying to keep up with the Jones? I mean the parent case to the 6.5 CR is the 30 TC??? Tacta-cool??? More like tacta-fool(ish)

Or is their something I'm not seeing?

well with you. The 7.6 Creedmoor is an April Fool's joke. At least I hope it is. The dimensions are pretty much the same as the 308 Winchester. That is all we need, another friggin' Creedmoor cartridge.

Just to energize Gary it would appear the 7.6 Creedmoor is to the 30 TC like the 300 BLK is to the 300 Whisper

308 Winchester. That is why it has to be an April Fool's joke. If it is real then the joke is on the buyer. The 30 TC flopped and I think a lot of that was folks not happy with it being a rip off of the 308. But then again the 300 Blackout, as you mentioned, was just a blatant rip off of J.D.'s 300 Whisper and a lot of folks fell for that one. So who knows. Stranger things have happened.

7.6 Creedmoor

JRM, haven't heard from you in a while. Hope all is

30 TC is a rimmed 308

I looked up all the dimensions and it is identical to the

30TC is not rimmed

My mistake.... thought it was

308 Marlin was the rimmed version..

It got me....
