Reeder Custom Guns - Glock is messing with our heads again. The Border patrol

has signed up to dump their 40 caliber pistols (like almost all he other Gvt agencies are doing) and going with the Glock model 47. Now like most folks I had no idea what the model 47 is. Glock says it is solely for Gvt agencies like the Border Patrol. It is the Model 45 frame and the 17 long slide.

A lot of folks, government and civilian alike, are dumping the 40 caliber and going with one of the special 9mm rounds. The 9mm has come along so far, so fast that dropping the 40 or 45 and going to the new 9mms you are not giving up anything in power, speed and "knock down".

I shipped my 38 Super Trail Gun back to you this morning for a 9mm cylinder.

I also added one of the new little Ruger 9mm Carbines recently. Awesome little rifle with the right ammo.

important in colder weather where the bad guys usually wear 4 layers or more. Over 50 years I've tried most the handgun/cartridge choices available, just my opinion, but a high quality single stack 4" 1911 in 9mm with the latest self-defense ammo is the best carry choice.

Years ago the 40 S&W was the darling of the auto world. With good reason too. It mimics the old 38-40 with identical ballistics. All you could read was how superior it was to the 10mm and 9mm. Now, the latter two are seeing a resurgence. It's all a game to keep guns selling.

One year you need more power, the next year you need more shots. Yada, yada, yada...
