and going out for the Heritage crowd. With a retail of $250 and probably a selling price of maybe $219, it will sell like hotcakes. Not sure why they put the bands on the cylinders as that makes it look like it is half finished. But overall it will sell, and that is the major thing.
That was my original post too. Compete with Heritage...

There may well be a lot of economy buyers who will go for owning a Ruger. But, sure hate to see them lean in this direction. It makes me cring a bit...

At least these are metal. I don't see how a cheap metal gun is much different than an expensive plastic one. But that's just me.

Looks very much like the ones he plays with now. I'm not necessarily knocking the guns, I own a Heritage myself.
But, putting a Mustang GT sticker on a Yugo spent give me a sports car.
Opinions will vary and everyone should make their own car. Heck, Gary may drop Black Chromex and start using spray paint.

looks like Ruger turned the clock back to 1958. One of the first real smart marketing moves I remember Ruger making in a while. That $500 plastic wonder(s) I thought was nuts. But they even sold a few of those too.
I'd like to see a swing out cylinder gun like that for the same target price, NOT made out of plastic.

You appear to be right about the barrel. The video on the Wrangler page says that they use the same cold forged barrel as on other Ruger SA.
