Reeder Custom Guns - My Favorite handgun

is the Single Action revolver. Always has been. I love the old 1911 and I like S&W Double Actions, but the Single Action has always been the best. That's me. My preference. I am not trying to convince anyone else. Here are a few that have been a part of my life.

so many go thru my hands thru the years and owned so many, played with so many, kept so many (for a short while), that anymore they are just another gun. I guess since 1979 my favorite hunting gun has been my 41 GNR Contender, lately moved to a G-2 frame. I have taken more big game, 1000 lbs or more, with it than should be allowed.

If I had to pick a revolver, it would be either my 510 GNR..

Another of my favorites that I haven't taken any game with is my 410 GNR built on the S&W M-629. We put a new 5 shot cylinder in it and a new barrel and it is a one of a kind. I will never sell it as I won't have any control over what someone might shoot in it and blow it up. Although I have run my 410 GNR encore loads thru it with no problems. But it is one of my favorites mainly because I thought it couldn't be done.

I sold some and passed some on to family when we moved to Africa. The El Diablo you made and auctioned off to help us came back to me! Before we moved. It was laying on a table when a friend came in and saw it and asked how much I wanted. I told him what it had auctioned for and he wrote a check on the spot. It is still special to me, because of you my friend.

Two single action`s that were special to me were my Super Blackhawk serial #41. Besides the mahogany case she had the slightly longer grip frame. Took it to the range and fired a cylinder full of ammo and put it in the safe... [image]
The other was a Ruger Hawkeye in 265 Win mag that was one of the last one`s made. Fired a half box of ammo at 50 and it also went into the safe. I thank God I had them because when I sold them to a member of the RCA I used the money to help pay for a Alaskan moose/brown bear hunt... [image]
