REAL VAQUERO CONFUSION IS HERE!

I stopped at my local gun shop, Buckhorn, this morning to pick up my three new Ruger Wranglers. As I looked in the display case I saw a stainless steel Ruger with a tag marked "Ruger New Vaquero .44 Magnum." I said wait a minute this can't be right! What have you got here. He handed it to me and I looked at it seemed to me the frame size was the original Vaquero so to make sure we measured it with a another original Vaquero they had and sure enough it was a large frame. The caliber marking was different than I've seen on any other Old or New Vaquero and the frame was definitely marked New Vaquero. The hammer is low and wide and the front sight is serrated. As I left they said they would check to see if they can figure it out. They had taken the gun in on trade just this week. I just got a call from them and what they found is this is a special distributor edition and is actually on the large frame, however it is marked like the small frame. So now we have Vaquero, Old Vaquero, New Vaquero, and New Old Vaquero or maybe Old New Vaquero.
