1895 that was all black like our Beast rifle. I looked it up and sure enough it is all black. Not like our Beast or our Alaskan Classic rifle though. Both guns are all black but they are different. This was one of ours.

Our Bad Medicine that we just sold was all black also.

We also did a few Ruger #1 rifles with the black stocks.

But there is a lot of difference. If we do an ebony stock and forend and it doesn't sell, we can always just re-do the wood. If Marlin does a bunch of them and they don't sell they stand to lose a lot of money. So I respect Marlin for sticking their necks out and try something new.

Stocks from the vendor they would fill them and blacken them in a limited number. I suspect the younger generations like that stuff. Give me nice figured walnut and blued steel.
