the 2 Cape Buffalo and also that monster Kudu she shot. I may have to hang him at home where I have 12 foot ceilings. To hang him in the gun shop his nose would be about belt buckle high.

Did she use a .458 Lott or Winchester or one of your rounds on the buff? I read she took a .458 with her.

'92 for her first African hunt. It has the exact same power as my 450 GNR that I took my Cape Buff with.

.458 soft point is running around 2250 fps maybe a bit more. Her barrel is only 16½" plus the brake so between 2250 and 2300 fps. It put the Cape down on his front knees the first shot, the second put him all the way down, and a 3rd shot was just to end it.

That's a very cool looking little thumper rifle! .450 Marlin type power without the recoil. Apparently its plenty for dangerous game!

Buff with.No scope on it yet to replace the blown one. She put another scope on it for the hunt but took it back off when she got home.
