For what ever reason the chuck numbers are down this year. Whether it was the very cold and snowy February and first part of March (about the time they are starting to come out) or maybe disease, I don't know, but their numbers are down.
I have a spot about a mile from the house that I snuck out to for a bit this evening. This place is bordering on a small 1/4 circle of spring wheat that is showing damage from the chucks feeding.
This one will eat no more wheat. About 60 yrds with the 300 GNR and a LBT 100 gr. GC HP.
