Reeder Custom Guns - The Joy of "Just a gun".

That phrase is a famous one by GNR. It's meaning is much deeper than one may first think. Sure they are lifeless mechanical devices but made by people and have history, every one of them. When I embark into territory that I've never really visited I truly enjoy the research. The origins of design, motivating purpose, mechanical specifics, intended use. Yes, it's just a gun but invites one to enjoy the complete experience from the ownership. So much more, plus you get to shoot it!

I found this excellent work online to begin my Luger experience. It is completely free and you need to save it to your files for later or perhaps a friend who may enjoy it. I did the same when I finally dove into the world of Hi-Powers. Enriching knowledge.

It is not good to hide stuff from your wife. My wife and I were a team. We had each other's backs. I always knew if I spent money on a hunting trip she would do some remodel or some thing on the house. She bought me guns.

If you have the money and the kids won't go without a meal then what is the problem. It is just money. Like Jim said, it is called working together. I have a friend in my neighborhood. Great guy, give you the shirt off his back kind of guy. Lets me keep my boat on his dock free of charge all year round. Grows tomatoes and squash and cucumbers, keeps me overstocked all season. Can't buy a friggin box of ammo that his wife knows about. He had a shotgun he wanted refinished and wouldn't spend the money to do it proper. I took it home, sanded it down and hit it with a lick of cold blue and brought it back to him. He had to make a BIG deal in front of her that it was a gun from his grand dad that I "cleaned" up for him. I have two rifles in my safe that are his till he can "sneak 'em" into the house without her knowing. He wanted a case of 5.56 for his AR that's in MY safe, had to order it online and now that's sitting in my basement. I hate if for him but he allowed this to happen, they been married 25 years. Hell, if I came home with a 21 year old Japanese house girl my wonderful wife would be fine with that as long as she did dishes! If you can't be honest with your wife you're not being honest with yourself. I'll shut up now before I get in trouble.....
