A top quality double would have done fine, a top side lock please! The Lever guns would do and the .405 is a great ctg., the 1905 Win. looks like it's coming apart when it's levered, to me. I know it was popular but I've not messed with it enough to feel comfortable. The 1886 didn't have any bullets that really impressed me in that vintage, they were still all running around 1500 fps.

You threw the gauntlet at 1899 so I want the genie to poof me a top quality double .450 Cordite rifle. Other than that about anything will do and did, maybe a handy .303 10-shot.
