I get pretty much every gun mag out there but seldom have time to read them for a few months. In one of them they brought out the question of what 3 guns would you have on you or in your hot sweaty hands if the shit hit the fan. Now this is after the fall of civilization where the land is full of gay werewolves, zombies and fat girls protecting their local Dunkin' Donuts.

This is a situation where you have to live off the land while at the same time protecting your family and keeping the liberals at bay, especially the ones that didn't believe in guns and expect you to save them from the zombies and such.

Now obviously a scenario like this tends to allow us to play with our fantasies like scantily clad blondes carrying 2 high polished Desert Eagles in a crotch holster, but let's play it a bit more serious. Let's say that blonde is Hillary Clinton in a bikini with a Hi Point in her crotch holster. And Whoopie Goldberg in a see thru nightie with a swichblade. That is to get you in a killing mood.

So, 3 guns, a handgun, a shotgun and a rifle and remember the world has gone to shit, so no flame throwers or 20 mm cannons. The 3 guns will have to hold you over until sanity reigns again, if ever. Serious stuff. What would your 3 guns be?

Using the shotgun and rifle to harvest edible game, I'd go with my CZ 453 22 LR and Ithaca 37 in 20 gauge. Could carry plenty of ammo in the pocket.

The hand gun for defense would be more difficult. Probably a 32 Magnum revolver. Enough power for defense and could also carry plenty of ammo.

In the inner city scenario, I'd probably choose differently...

Her choices were a 300 Win Mag bolt gun for the long range stuff, a Glock 17 and a Mossberg 835 that shoots 3½,3" or 2¾". Made sense to me. Then my 3 choices would be a Glock 17 or 19, an AR-10 in 308 and a Mossberg 835.

game foraging, an AR-10 in .308, and a 500 Mossberg combo. You didn’t say I couldn’t have a spare rifled slug barrel.....you just limited me to three guns. Good availability of ammo, and since we’re talking about it being a SHTF situation, I really wouldn’t worry about concealing a firearm. I’ve got plenty of food growing, walking, or swimming here on the farm with enough canned fruits, veggies, meat, and jellies to outlast just about anything. Just need to keep the thieves at bay....that’s where the AR-10 comes in handy.

Ruger 10-22, mossberg pump 12 ga, glock 19 or any similar 9mm. Should be able to carry alot of ammo, or steal it or kill for it if need be. The 22s, 12 ga and 9mm should be about everywhere.

My red dot sighted Glock 23, a Savage 24 22 over 410, and my 6.5 rem mag long range rifle with the custom turret Nightforce on top.

The biggest issue would be what you can call the 'Golden Horde". Millions of domestic refugees. I would want to do low key as much as possible so on that note:

1. Handgun. It would be a full sized Glock 9mm with a threaded barrel so a suppressor could be used on it.

2. Rifle: I like the Scout rifles by Savage again with a threaded barrel for a suppressor. Caliber would be 308 Winchester.

3. Shotgun. Mossberg 12 gauge 3 1/2 chambered pump shotgun.

Shotgun; my Saiga with 25 round drums. It packs up small and never fails. In one bug-out bag I have 2 pmr-30s and Rifle a cmr-30 and 35 mags. So I will only take one pistol. and I can carry a lot more ammo and have all the range you should need.

A Glock 17, a good AR carbine with a 1-4 scope and any reliable pump 12 ga. I'd love to trade the shotgun for a suppressed 22 lr pistol. The 22 would likely put more food on the table than the other two.

My 12 gage shockwave, my AR 556 with a 300 blackout upper, I would also take my Browning Hi Power 9 mm. Zombies here, not elephants .

First, after water I want food (I'll be avoiding the queer werewovels and zombies.... might need a fat girl if it's cold). My Sears Roe Buck 12 ga single with my little skeeters chamber reducers ... 20ga, .410 bore and riffled 8 inch .22 LR inserts, could eat off that for years. Hand gun, that's a tough choice, 1911 or Glock 19? Guess the Glock, mags and ammo are available for pilfer more readily. Rifle, well, hate to leave the Winchesters home but have to go with a 5.56 AR, super versatile in so many situations. Probably my A2 zeroed at 200m.

Hand gun is easy. My 45Super 1911. Can hunt with the 45 super, and can still run 45acp. Rifle my Marlin 366 in 256 falcon is my back woods assault rifle and will handle anything left to eat. Shotgun, Mossburg 500.

Just cuz it does everything!

Glock 19X
Remington 870 Super mag will kill anything with 3 1/2" chambers.
I am hung up on the next one. But dual purpose. Since I don't have an AR-10 I have to go with my home built AR-15 .223 Wylde with a 20" 1-8" twist that shoots a devastating hand loaded 62 grain lead tip. Trust me I can put it in an ear hole.
