I had one last year

Passed through my hands in a deal. Fit and finish were excellent. I didn't get a chance to shoot it before someone wanted it more than I did. The earlier ones had some extractor problems, as I understand it. Supposedly, they have fixed that. Mine was a 2-digit SN gun. I figured if I really wanted one to shoot down the road, I could buy a later one that had the improved extractor.

I own a number of Hi Powers, from WW2 German occupation through T series and into the 1990s. I've also owned a number of clones. Like Gary, I prefer the originals.

My best shooting stock Hi Power is an Israeli surplus one. Trigger isn't as good as some of my others, but that gun will shoot! Only one I have that is more accurate is a 1970s customized T series that has all the hallmarks of an Armand Swensen custom, but isn't Swensen marked under the slide. He didn't mark all of his, but there is not proving he did the custom work without the mark.
