It really gave near .375 H&H performance with the larger diameter bullet, down a couple hundred fps for same bullet weight. That is; hot-rodding the .405 and factory .375's. It kicks right smart FWIW.
Early on it was criticized for having limited penetration due to the bullet's sectional density but the modern designs have eliminated that for the most part I figure. Those rubber tipped pointy's are a bit fragile for heavier game and big bones.
