and it was a Super Blackhawk in its previous life. No cylinder length problems.

I shoot a .41 265gr WLNGC in numerous Ruger .41 mags and have never has an issue with overall length.

I have a Taurus Raging Bull 41 Magnum that has a very long cylinder. It's a very well made gun that's accurate too.
My only other 41 Magnum is a Limited Edition FA97. But, it requires shorter nosed bullets. About the only bullet it ever sees is the 210 grn XTP.
LBT of choice for 41M, 41GNR, 41GNR#2, 414SM...
