in Africa or Alaska or anywhere in the U.S either. What a great rifle this would be for the big bears in Alaska. This is the Browning 1885 falling block, full custom. It is chambered in 470 Nitro. It has a color cased receiver and the rest of the gun finished in our deluxe Black Chromex. The wood is a deluxe European walnut with a Decelerator pad. It has a rear express sight and our barrel band interchangeable blade front sight with a gold bead blade. The receiver has been engraved with an African lion on one side and a couple of elephant on the other. The gun is full custom all the way. We have been working on it since last October and it is finally ready. It is smooth and very accurate, with 3 rounds in a 1" cloverleaf at 25. With all the work and special features on this rifle, it should be priced at a minimum of $2995. I have priced it at a special price of $2295, which for a full custom 470 Nitro is a steal. You will never find another 470 with these features for less than $4500.This is a one time deal, so don't sit and think about it for too long.$2295 plus shipping.

on it plus the gun weighs almost 10 lbs. Plus the 470 Nitro is like most older African calibers in that it is a big push more than a quick slam.

I know, just being a PITA, very fun to shoot.

Anyone would shoot it and it would go end to end on a large hog! I forget the actual load but it's close to 25 gr. of Trail Boss, whatever it holds loose under the cast 325-400 gr. bullet.

I've NEVER seen a custom big bore 1885 in Nitro cal.! Biggest I've ever seen was .405 or .375 H&H.

Beautiful!

Wish I could shoot a rifle. I would buy it.

When I was at the HHC last year Robert asked me to shoot

the 470 NE. That one did not have a great pad on it. I will tell you that it wasn't bad at all. Some push but no snap. If I wouldn't have bought a pistol there earlier in the evening I would have bought it. I didn't think it was as bad as some 45-70's I had shot in my youth. This is a beautiful rifle, would go with the Browning High Wall in 475 Linebaugh. Great engraving!

Gary, that is magnificent work, as always. I am still enjoying the custom Ruger #1 in .375 H&H I got from you many years ago. Someone needs to jump on this one.

WOW that is gorgeous.
