Be try to get a perfect load for my new Reeder 44 Special. Wanting to keep traditional in play with new stuff isn't always easy.

I've always used Unique and 2400 in my 44 Specials. They have never let me down. But, have been trying Longshot Powder with great results. Powder charges similar to Unique and ballistics similar to 2400. Also, burns cleaner than either.

I've posted about my success with GT Hollow Point Bullets too. To date, my favorite bullets for the older and more mild rounds. Ordered a batch of their 240 grn SWC HPs to try out. Will report here...

CFE Pistol is quickly becoming my 45 Colt pick. I need to spend more time with them...

Longshot is a fantastic high energy powder.

It gave me an instant 200 fps at lower pressures, compared to classic Blue Dot in 3.5" 10 ga. 2-1/4 oz. loads. I loaded up a huge box for Puffy.

10mm and .45 Super/Rowland it flat dominates. Although I have used AA#7 to good effect too.
