That pic in Gary's manual shows my sheep taken w/.300 GNR

The little ctg. is an old one for Gary. The case, made from a .30-30, or sort of a shortened .30 Herret, adapted for revolver cylinder use, is very sturdy. It fun to make and shoot since recoil is not an issue. The little bullet shoots super flat and can exhibit explosive expansion. Heavier slugs can be a little tough to get to expand unless you hit something big but it will really drill through stuff.

My gun was a .30 Carbine originally, then a .300 GNR, and I finally had Gary make me a .327 Fed. cylinder. My goodness the wide variation of ctg. it can shoot! I could even go for a .32-20 cylinder in a weak moment, although the .327 has that pretty much covered, except for nostalgia.
