And he believes wholeheartedly in it. Myself, I’m a bit jaded. Let me preface this by saying I have several friends who are lawyers in some capacity. Personally I have never been able to obtain satisfactory services from my legal assistants. The law is surprisingly fluid, not cut and dried, static, a foundation for principle and behavior. It depends on who you are, know, and the knowledge of your attorney, the others, and the sitting judge that particular day. Currently I have two different attorneys in my employ in two different counties. Seems some state attorneys don’t practice out of their county, or subcontract, which costs you double.

Bottom line is if you NEED an attorney you are pretty much screwed on some level. It’s a game to see how you can minimize the screwing. Basically $100 a year gets you some contract and a quarterly glossy newsletter, plastic card for your wallet, some very good action tips in the unfortunate event you ever need them. There is no need to go wild with coverage as that is always the starting point for litigation, high or low. If you like the idea, makes you feel more secure, go for it. It sure sounds good. But the alternative might be to get good training, practice some, plan a little, stay clear from high risks, be ready. Legal matters are too crazy and varied for me to find comfortable.
