Which 1911 magazine do you prefer and why?

I see a lot of references to Chip McCormick (CMC) and Wilson 47D magazines all the time. I have never had a Wilson, don’t know why. I guess I just always found CMC mags more easily locally. Is there really any difference in the two brands? Do any 1911s just do well with one brand of magazine over another? Or at the end of the day is it just chocolate ice cream vs vanilla ice cream? Curious as to your thoughts about which is favored more, and why (the mags, not the ice cream). Something for me to ponder over the hot weekend. I may just buy a bunch of one brand or the other, depending on the misfit opinion. Thanks.

I've been running Kimber mags in my Colt's with no problems, have no idea who makes them for Kimber though. They seem just fine.

It is Taiwanese for "works pretty good"

at one time or another and what works in one gun may not in another. The main thing is go with a mag with a rounded follower. The mags with a flat follower are more likely to jam.

I personally like the Mec Gar. They make almost all the magazines for most of the major companies.

I use Metalform and Kimber. With Metalform preferred
