glory in our sinfulness but our forgiveness , nor to stay just as we are. His grace is not an excuse for either. We are already like the world and Jesus calls us to be like him for he never acted like the world. We can only be the light of the world as we are like him. He calls us from dark to light and Jesus is that light, period.

before you start getting all holier than thou. Those old boys are not proud of the bad they have done, but are proud that Jesus has taken that load off their shoulders. At least that is how this old sinner sees it.
