Reeder Custom Guns - One Mo' .357 Lever Question!

Seems I've seen both praise and distaste on this board lately for Henry Lever rifles. Not long ago I 'impulse bought' a new .357 (brass rec'vr) Big Boy with zero research. (oops)! Pretty rifle, but what's up with ejection?? WHAT ejection!?
I thought there must be missing parts... seems to be nothing in the receiver to kick the empty out the side, no matter with how much 'vigor' you cycle the lever!... if the gun isn't tilted to that side, it won't even 'drip' out!
Is it Me, Or wtf? =-)

But, the Henry Steel is as good as any of my Marlins. Got my first Marlin in 1979 and have been in love with them since.

Have not regretted in one minute. Hoping my post doesn't keep others from bashing if they want to.

But, my Henry 327 Federal is a small game dream gun. Reminds me of the old days when men fed their families with 32 Rimfires and 32-20s.

to have a 327 rifle. For the 327 I had I kind settled on 115 hr RNFP's.

It has a .311" bore. Gets fed only the GT 115 grn HP Bullets.

Now I have 22 of them. Had one Winchester and a one Browning . Don't have either of the latter any more. I would own another Browning 92. Sold it when my son was born. Contrary to others belief the "JM" Marlins are better from the factory. I have a friend that was an engineer there before the sell out. I also have friends that have had issues with barrel droop and feeding issues not to mention dozens of canted sights and poor fitted wood.

I have one 1894SS .357 mag that myself and RPP did extensive work to. Was a true Remlin. It is a good rifle now. But you shouldn't have to pay the cost of the firearm to make it do what it is supposed to.

Marlins or the older ones, but we have had probably 2 dozen of the new marlins in here over the last year or two, 336s, 1895s etc and not one of them had any problems, mechanical or overall finish. I would stack up one of the new ones against any of the older models any day.

I speak of the new ones but not in the last 16-18 months. The only modeled I am speaking about are the model 1894 from around 2005 to about 18 months ago. I am also speaking of the 308 ME and 338 ME. Yes, before the take over on the latter two models. I have heard more good than bad recently. They could also learn from Henry and Ruger with regard to customer service, theirs is atrocious.

One Mo' .357 Lever Question!

I bought these in 41 Magnum and 327 Federal on sight..

What bullets do you use in the 327? Would love

In the Henry 100 grn XTPs. Also have a 22" G2 Carbine...
