mouths America or guns. But in some instances I don't let my dislike toward them cut my own throat. I had an argument with some fellow in the shop one day who said he would never buy anything from e-bay because of some imagined slight he felt. At the time I was buying various handgun scopes and linotype for casting bullets and such. I told him if I get all pissed off and refuse to buy that Burris or Leupold scope at a great price, am I hurting e-bay? Someone else will buy it and due to my pig headiness I missed out on a good buy. So there are times when I will bend a bit if it helps me in the long run.
On our long 1700 mile drives back to Tennessee for the HHC, I will often stop at a McDonalds for breakfast as it is right off the interstate and easy to get breakfast and get back on the road. If I dicked around, drove thru the whole town trying to find an Arbys or Wendy's, who am I hurting? Being stubborn for a principle is one thing. To cut your own throat because you are too stubborn to bend a little makes absolutely no sense. Now there are times when I refuse to do business with a company like Under Armor, Nikes or Dick's Sporting Goods for instance. Whatever they have there I can find elsewhere probably at a better price. So I am not cutting my own throat by not doing business with them. A man has to have standards but not when they are silly standards that do nobody any good.
