But on this subject I do. When Marlin was moved to New York they had new machinery. They had new unskilled employees and production and the bottom line took presidence over quality. To this day they have covered the windows at the factory in New York and have foreigners working like its sweat shop. Do your due dillegence. It is a hit or miss on new Marlins as of a year ago. Believe me as a Marlin lover it pains me to say these things. I wish it were different. You want an outstanding .44 mag buy an old Marlin 1894S, Winchester 1894 Legacy or Browning 1892.
