Roman begged and pleaded for me to loan him a few dollars to make up the difference so he could buy a pistol like this. It's a pretty big full size auto.

An original, unaltered Arsenal Strike One 9mm combat pistol. all black. It was pitched to and tested by some Russian Special forces but not ultimately adopted. It was made in the Tanfoglio factory in Italy for them. Ultimately it has been dropped. Roman knew the pitfalls, parts and mags, but just had to have it. His money he worked for. It has some interesting points, such as a super low bore axis, and Bergman type locking system. I'd like to see that.

I guess there are worse things a young man could blow his money on.

text me if ;you want a good 9 load

but I worked up a nice handload using a 158 gr. SWC cast that ran right at 1000 fps and hit POA. Both guns loved it. The .38/357 projectile is long enough that it can't be fully seated to the front band. I now have a 147 gr. FP mould and think that will be just ducky. Should be no problem to get that 147 safely to 1050-1100 fps shooting cast. AA#7 and Longshot are both fantastic powders. Lower pressures too.

I even have a Glock 21 .45 that I converted to shoot 9mm Luger, a fine functioning load it is for fun. Using a special 6" conversion barrel, and #11 spring, 10mm mags.

If I remember right the Strike One took extremely hot ammo

to function reliably. from what I heard the Russians turned it down for the same reason our FBI turned down the 10mm, that being they couldn't handle the harder than a standard 9mm recoil. So the normal Scott Boggs "let's use lead bullets and Trail Boss at 950 FPS" loads probably wouldn't work. So man up and load some hot loads and enjoy it.

and probably 147 grain bullets too.
