Kind of an oddball question
I know there are some on this forum that backpack hunt as well as do a bit of hiking.
As it stands now, I do not have a sleeping bag. I have two USGI poncho liners. Also know affectionately as woobies. These a great for summer nights as well as early fall nights but if it gets chillier it may leave one wanting.
I really don't want to go to a sleeping bag. Most mummy style bags for me are very uncomfortable. So there are alternatives.
There is a following for specialized quilts which are lighter and seem to be more packable. Kifaru and a few others make a thicker and more updated "Woobie".
Anyone on this site every use them? For those that have the blessed opportunity to head to the great open skies, what do you use for a sleep system? I know some will say Holiday Inn but I still like to dream a bit of the smell of smoke and feel of cold on my face. Thank you
