FWIW-
2 weekends ago my Bushnell Elite 2x6 pistol scope crashed and burned as I was re-sighting in my 429 GNR barrel. It had been many years since I had a scope quit on me, last one was a TC 2x7 that bit the dust in 2006 in S Africa.
I sent the scope in to Bushnell with the required $10 for return shipping, got the scope back today with a letter saying that while my scope is under warranty they NO longer make or repair pistol scopes and they returned the $10 check uncashed .Letter said to call them to see what could be done.
I called and was told the pistol scope market was ZERO so they no longer make them. They had some good options and decided on a 3 MOA Prism red dot, no charge.
I would have preferred a pistol scope but still good customer service.

I think I have about six of them now.

I've had to send Burris, Weaver, Leupold, Nikon, and Simmons back for repair, but never a Bushnell.

My favs too

2X off eBay. Short story it was damaged and I could not adjust the focus. Sent it to Burris to straighten out. Got a brand new one less than 2 weeks later. Their lifetime warranty is for real. I was impressed.. have had a good experience with Nikon with a high end spotting scope.High quality companies!
