and traveled from Nashville to McCook Nebraska for my first job in radio. On the trip out on one of my gas stops at a little general store (no interstate back then), I saw that same picture framed over the counter. So for sure it hasn't been photo shopped.

My grandfather killed many that size and lots of them bigger. He said they would feed the whole family for a day. He would make biker helmets from the heads and sold them to the local biker gangs. Not one of them ever got so much as a headache from a spill. Kids used to make baseball bats from the back legs. Whoo hoo must have been a grand time back then!
Boy that is a sweet old M94! Would love to have it.
