The SSE your LGS is probably referring to is as you said a semiauto converted to Singleshot. When my FFL of choice here runs it he puts Handgun and singleshot on the DROS entry and somewhere in that computer mess it comes up with Thompson Center Encore, G2 or contender and you are good to go. I’ve got 4 or 5 from Colleen now and haven’t had a problem. Did have a well known AR shop in Saugus area tell me I couldn’t get one and he had no idea what a G2 was and refused to even look it up.
