and I do not play him on TV ... this is my personal opinion, not his.

But I shot thousands of 45 colts in my 454.

They will carbon up the chamber just like shooting 38 Specials do in a .357 or .44 Specials in a .44 Magnum. That carbon .. and any lead ... needs to be cleaned out before shooting any high pressure 454 loads.

It can be a bit of work to clean them .. but it's worth the trouble.

or you can just load colt-level loads in your 454 cases and save the hassle.
