Picked up one of these today. 98% condition with fairly nice grips.
Measures out nicely. Throats are all six an even .452". Barrel gap is a tight .0025". Locks up rock solid.
Have been wanting an 45 Auto Rim. Think this fit the bill.
Any information and opinions appreciated...

I have a S&W Mtn. Gun in 45 Colt that has the cylinder opened to accept ACP full moon clips and still shoot Colt`s... Pretty versatile revolver...![[image]](images/uploaded/201908021933585d449026899f5.jpg)
I had a 625 "Model of 1988" first run. Traded it to GNR

for some exotic build that blew wind up my dress. He spend about 2 weeks putting snake scales all over it, I mean ALL over it. No telling who ended up with it.
*Anyone ever find out what happened to Puffy's Pandora's box gun safe? Call dibs on the Porn! (He would have laughed at that.)
HAVE HAD ONCE SINCE 1989

AS WELL AS THE .45 COLT VERSION OF 1988. BOTH 5" HBs; BOTH GREAT SHOOTERS.

5" barrel. I just came by 500 rounds of 45 Auto Rim Brass. It'll probably get a good diet of it.
Some set-ups require a special riser shell holder or such.

I remember I had to lathe cut my ACP dies so I could crimp like I wanted to. There was something goofy with the length and the shell holder. They would not turn in the belled or flared case mouth while seating the bullet.
Originally they came out with a "Model of 1988" in .45 ACP/AR, all 5". Factory issue Pachmayr Grips I think, maybe Hogue? Supposed to only make 3,000. It was such a hit they re-issued the "Model of 1989" and offered other barrel lengths. It really pissed collectors, I remember.
