Great cartridge, 1400fps with 200gr. bullet. 41mag ballistics in a semi-auto.
I think the 10mm already solved this need!

No contest; 10mm 180gr at 1300fps 40 super 200gr at 1400fps.
I may be the 5th soon

Soon as I find a used Glock 21sf, or decently priced 1911.
Wish I could find a barrel for my Ruger

American 45, but can not find anyone who makes any after market barrels for conversion.
Find a 40 S&W barrel

You can rechamber a 40 S&W barrel, but you can't rechamber a 10mm barrel.
10mm longslide, 200gr @ 1300fps & close enough for me

I think it’s similar. Making ammo from 45 Acp brass is easy as sizing it. Just acquired it so I haven’t put it thru a chronograph yet to see how it compares with a 10mm. Currently having feeding problems with mine, I think I’ll just grind off a little metal with my dremel, can always add some more JB weld if I grind off too much.
Yes I’m yanking you’re chain Sir Boggs
I think it is a modified .400 CB with different neck

and shoulder on the .45 Super case. Actually it's obsolete. O'd JD way back tried the .41 Avenger (a true .410" on the .45 ACP loaded hot) made more sense to me but a huge flop. Ditto the .41 Action Express that also was .410" on a rebated 9mm rim, straight wall, great idea but flopped.
I had a .400 Corbon (on the std. ACP case)and being conservative you can mimic 10mm ballistics in a 1911 with less magazine capacity. A bit of a trick to get to run right. I tried to hot it up more and broke a barrel locking link, scared me. I'm not a fan of hotting up the 1911 platform too much, but that's me. Some bottle-neck pistol rounds headspace on the case mouth, not the shoulder, and that's the trick.
