I stopped looking. Not trying to share this here but beware... their website is STDguns.com sounds well thought out, just like the gun Jim shared...wear protection!

they will be building custom 1911s, revolvers, rifles and more. Other than that, nothing.

This is mine. I haven't shot it yet. Amazing to me that the same company makes a gun this beautiful along with a number of them that are so ugly.

I am not sure why they want to build zip guns? USFA went the same route ... why I have no clue.

many companies have found out quickly that traditionalist like many of us baby boomers are dying off daily and the new generation is setting the standards for what various companies make and sell. Millenials, not the baby boomers make up the largest segment of the population right now so they have the power to dictate what sells. They are driving the changes you see around us...like brick & mortar stores closing because they like purchasing on-line and the list of what they influence grows constantly. That is why companies do what we think is weird.

They have been around for quite a while, mostly building ultra-high end .. ahem .. "sporting" shotguns. Then got in to a double-tube trick pump shotgun. Then 1911s and then SAAs. Word was they purchased the old USFA machining. They mix old and new through CNC machining and high-end hand engraving.
If you want a fresh from factory case colored SAA with all the screws perfecting aligned, they can sell you one. There are buyers for all this kind of stuff. Not my monkey. Not my circus.

Recently I handled one that had not been fired. They are quite costly and obviously are catering to a specific customer. The workmanship, fit and finish seemed to be of the highest quality. Quality control is 1st rate. Granted I did not shoot it and neither has its owner. But for 2K they better be 1st rate.
