I have not shot hogs myself with it but I think it would do fine. Hogs are really tough, like stopping .475 JHP's on occasion! The .357 cal. with the right bullet and placed properly can do some surprising things. Mr. Wesson proved that trotting the Globe and just giving it a try. The .356 GNR easily mimic's and surpasses his primer flattening, case sticking, and barrel leading loads of yore. The .356 GNR can do it with no issues.

The 125 JHP did really well in mine with some loads running close to 1700 fps from my revolver. But my favorite hunting load is a 180 gr. FPGC at 1500-1550 fps. Usually one would fall back to the normal H110/296 loads but I found 4227 to be a stellar performer in this particular case. I want to try some AA1680 next. I did not really get bowled over by Lil'gun in my initial tests. Sometimes that powder does odd things, sometimes it really shows out. (It would be my pick in a fixed breach gun) The .357/.38 cylinder is really handy. If you have some extra ash laying about you might even consider letting Gary do you a 9mm Luger cylinder. At $9 a box of 50 it sure makes for some cheap shooting and accuracy with his tuning is spectacular.
