A lot of you either know Jeff or know of him. I received this today ....

Good afternoon all....this is Souette Quinn...Jeff's 1st wife as he likes to call me.
We have received literally hundreds of inquiries and words of support for Jeff. They have not gone unnoticed although Jeff is not accessing any media of any type at this time or taking calls/messages or visitors.
Here's the lowdown:
1) Tests confirm that Jeff DID have 2 major heart attacks on Monday. (That's 7 since last Fall.)
2) The increased fluid in his lungs contributing to the severe pain of suffocating along with the horrible heart/chest pain was all a manifestation of his heart failure.
3) Blood Pressure was off the charts as was poor oxygen levels.
4) He made it to St. Thomas West in Nashville via ambulance / life flight.
5) He has undergone numerous tests/procedures with support of 3 different teams of specialists. Nurse teams are stellar.
6) He will be in the hospital several more days.
7) He's totally exhausted.

As of today, the teams have informed us of all the physical conditions weighing over Jeff.
As they speak of his current status, ALL of them follow their report with the word "BUT".
Example: "His kidneys are functioning BUT...his numbers are better!"
"Blood pressure is still high BUT it's coming down and looks good."
"This is your current heart condition BUT meds will can likely support your recovery"
You all get the idea. :)

Friends...I have NO idea how this man is still alive today. I swear, I have no vision at all what his purpose is to remain on this Earth. Even the Doctors just look at him and shake their heads with one saying "I can't believe you're still alive!"
Jeff's response is: "I have a lot of good people praying for me."
Whether you are the praying kinds or just send him good vibes, or blessings of your own accord....he feels them. He's living them.

His biggest worry right now is "letting folks down".
He has commitments to the industry he loves and he's agonizing over cancelling because "I hate to let people down."
He has church and family commitments and again, he wants to be part of that without letting folks down by not doing his part.
But that's just him. I just acknowledge his concerns and tell him I understand.

Although this little report sounds kinda dark and bleak, I'll leave THIS with you just so you know that maybe 5% of the typical Jeff Quinn is shining through this health mess:
Today, Jeff was receiving a full "echo" exam of his heart to determine current level of functioning to help guide which path is next for him.
The x-ray technician was a HUGE male that probably stood 6'6" and over 300lbs. Big guy!
The tech sat beside the bed with the warm jelly, wand and t.v. screen. Jeff was silent with his eyes closed tolerating the session.
The tech asked Jeff to roll to his side as he was going to place the wand underneath Jeff's breast. Jeff complied.
A few minutes passed and Jeff broke the silence and asked "Do you do this all day long?" The tech answered "yes".
Jeff said "That's a good trade!" Tech answered "Yes."
Silence
Jeff asked, "Do you do this to women too?" Tech answered "Yes."
Silence
Jeff said, "My guidance counselor in high school never told me about THIS trade."
Silence
Jeff said, "You do this all day and get paid AND get to see women's ti**ies?! Tech answered yes as he grinned.
Silence. Jeff closed his eyes and I heard him mutter "OH MAN!"

At that point, I just shook my head and left the hospital to come home for the farm chores and such. I will return to Jeff this afternoon and remain the duration of his stay.

Thanks again to all of you who have taken time to reach out in support of Jeff and the family.
The next post on this page will be from Jeff in the near future.
~Souette

Jim, double check that if you will....

I think that was one of those historical posts?! I hope it was! From six yrs ago? He had bad pneumonia a couple yrs. ago too. I hope, wish, that I saw that right.

I think he’s recovered.

I am worried about him and praying the information is confusing and old news! I guess I need to email him if you haven’t already.

This is current-his wife posted it under his memory thing

She also posted it on her page.

This morning she said his kidneys have quit working due to the aggressive heart meds and he is on dialysis which will continue if/when he goes home.

They are doing some sort of heart procedure today and tomorrow .. trying to unblock an artery ... and have to do them without anesthesia as his heart cannot take it.

Jeff has had ongoing serious medical issues for the last year.

If you look closely at the Facebook Memory post

I got to meet him at the Tulsa show a few years ago, he spotted an old flattop .44 I was carrying and ask me what I wanted for it and then he told me to go talk to the Ruger collectors that were at the show. I just talked to him for a minute but he's one of those guys that you just hit it off with from the get go so to speak. I enjoyed talking with him. Hate to hear about the health problems, really sucks. Hope for a speedy recovery and he gets going again really soon!
