How long can these sit and still be "good". I've had some about ten years and are like new.

I have some my dad got around 1982, stored in garage, not the most accurate but all go bang and good for plinking, then there is the 1967 National Match 30 cal.....

Some well-known YouTubers have recently released videos showing Depression-era .22LR ammunition being fired safely and reliably.
I would imagine water exposure would be the leading cause of failure, outside of manufacturing error.

I store it all in the house, in southern Az. Low humidity most of the time.
I normally look at the brass case if the ammo is old

If it shows some green corrosion or crud on the outside of the brass, there is a good chance there is a problem inside too.

years ago there was some really old 22 LR coming out of closets and drawers that hadn't seen daylight in many years.
