We have a flash flood warning out for the next several hours. Torrential rains have been hitting us for the last couple of hours. The city and county has been handing out thousands of sandbags for the last couple of weeks knowing this was coming. When the fires hit a month or so ago all the brush, undergrowth and such on the mountain burned off so there is nothing stopping the rains from coming down into town, especially the low areas. The lowest part of town has been warned to expect 3 to 4 feet of water to come off the mountain into town and especially into the lower areas. Already there are reports of heavy flooding in some areas. We are on the upper side of this shopping plaza and the water is passing us and going down into the other businesses lower than us. Even so we have an inch of water in our third building, my second machine shop. Much of what is falling is hail plus the rain.

but it just started this week. We have already had overnight temps in the mid to upper 30s so this could be an interesting September.

I will be there Saturday!

Maybe you will have 42 inches of snow like last February!

if things stay as normal, it won't be long
