what you can get to fit this action. I have acquired a couple of Striker handguns over the years. No one seems to specifically make replacement barrels for these. I am thinking they are just a 110 or 116 action labeled as a 510/516 to be designated as a handgun action. Does anyone know if I could just get a 110 or 116 barrel and cut it down and install it on this handgun action? Seems to have the same barrel nut. Thanks for the help

the Savage Striker handguns use the same set up as the

Savage 110/110. It would probably be easier to just have a barrel made than try to find a used Savage rifle barrel and cut it down. Normally if someone takes a barrel off a gun it is due to a problem with the barrel, so using a take off barrel might not be a good idea.

People making aftermarket 110 barrels are plentiful. You

Are right if they will make it to the correct shorter length that saves time and Monday. Thanks for clarifying as I have asked several smith’s and others and no one knew.

Make sure the barrel is under 16 in. to be classified as a handgun.

still thinks Elvis is still alive and a real woman weighs over 300 lbs and has a really nice mustache. The handgun law is an old wives tale. A handgun does not have a length law attached to it. You can have a handgun with a 30" barrel if it floats your boat. Any barrel law pertains to a rifle, not a handgun.

what`s wrong with a 300 lb woman??

for those ladies with majestic measurements. You are the only man I know that can entertain one of those lovely ladies in a hot attic in July in Mississippi without the aid of a bottle of Wesson oil.

That's a whole lotta woman!

THE IDEA HANDGUN BARREL LENGTHS WERE REGULATED? I'VE SEEN SINGLE ACTIONS MADE INTO HIDEOUT GUNS WITH NO BARRELS AND WHEN I WAS A KID SHOT A CUSTOM COLT BISLEY WITH A 24" BARREL. MAKES NO DIFFERENCE. NO RESTRICTIONS.

I do wish I knew who started that rumor. I would send him

a rattlesnake for his birthday. I get at least a couple of people a month tell me you can't have a handgun barrel over 16". And some of them aren't from Mississippi or even Arkansas. Amazing.

As Gary stated, buy new, not take off

The great thing about a Striker is that it is very easy to find aftermarket barrels to fit your needs. The bad thing is that the triggers are inferior to an XP-100 and there is a major lack of quality aftermarket stocks. This is my first long range specialty pistol, it originally started life as a 510 in 308, it's now a 300WSM, 10 twist 18" Kriger barrel, it loves 185gr Berger's over 4831SC and with that load has given me a 10" group at 1,000 yards.
