I put a Scout scope on mine some years back.

I did not get to use it much before I went to Africa for a few years. When I came back I started learning it again and could not abide the scope. I pulled it off and went back to what I knew ... the Williams Fool-Proof aperture sight.

I never have cared much for scopes, either on a levergun or a handgun. It's just a personal thing with me and I ain't trying to convert anyone to my way of thinking.

but I'm not sure if they are the same spec. as the normal M94? Remember the BB 94 has the built up receiver at the back. I am tempted by Skinner Sights but they require some expensive drilling and tapping. Little tricky.

Shown in the factory holes on an Angle Eject Model (yuck), it has to be drilled and tapped 6:48 on each side otherwise. The bolt seems to slide under it in operation. Looks like a sound design to me. If I can't find the correct aluminum Williams or Steel Lyman side mount for the BB 94. The sight is about $85 and D/T $25-$30 per hole. The D/T is a job I'd not attempt at this late stage of life. I can't see to do it. Money is easier than screwing up.

is more than confusing as it sort of implies that it might not need to be D&T. I also found a rear sight leaf that is a peep, forget the name. I like the longer sight radius on the others though. Calling the Lyman/Williams office I can only imagine getting someone who actually knows anything. Some of those companies hire out third party customer service places, if it's not on the list they don't know.

I'll get to it. I sure can't see the sights as is though. Not with my bi-focals. I told my optometrist I needed one lens upside down with the bifocal on top. He laughed and said I was silly and just needed a scope. A 94 with a scope is not the same. The Scout is neat but even that not the same.

my eye. I also one though on my 94 but it’s mounted in the buckhorn sight slot in front of the receiver. It’s a Lyman with fiber optic dots on either side. Needed a mount as well. The set up was pretty inexpensive but made a world of difference.

mine is a "ghost ring" .. took the small aperture out and just look through the large ring. Don't care if it is in focus or not. All I want to see is that front bead inside the ring whether the ring is fuzzy or not. It works for me.
