So what is "short barrel rifle" ammo? I have seen many short barrel rifles in calibers from 22LR to 50BMG. As well as them not selling handgun ammo there are just as many handguns chambered in 22LR to 50BMG. So I guess that means they will stop selling all ammo except shotgun ammo? I also think it is interesting that instead of pulling this ammo they will stop selling they will sell thru their inventory.
that is simple. They are anti gun, not anti money

Wal-Mart leans heavy on rural America. The equal and opposite reaction will likely get their attention.
I shoot very, very little factory ammo and when I do it comes from my LGS.
Walmart sucks, id rather pay a few extra dollars at Lgs

Do we deprive ourselves of the thousands of other products that Walmart offers? I go to my LGS for ammo and sporting goods anyway. Because of this move that won't effect me at all, do I find another source of everyday products? Just curious as to how you all feel.
I don't have a problem with some of the features

of Walmart. Colleen does her grocery shopping there and says she saves $150 to $200 every 10 days or 2 weeks, so why not. There are no more Mom and Pop grocery stores so we are not depriving them of any revenue. Buying at a place where you can save considerable money just makes sense, especially if there are no local stores around, which there aren't, at least not here. When it comes to guns or ammo then it becomes a political situation. I don't agree with their stand on gun control so I would never buy sporting goods at a Walmart. But not buying things like groceries and such there because of their stand on gun control won't hurt them and just costs me more money. I read something recently that Walmart in all umpteen of their stores makes somewhere around $29,000 per minute profit 24 hours a day, so me not buying groceries and such there is only hurting me.
