Been to long
A year ago I somehow got a flesh eating anaerobic bacteria in my foot. Over the course I’ve had 6 surgeries (amputations) starting with a couple of toes. Then the rest of them. A bone here and there in my foot.
As of two weeks ago I had been infection free for 3 months and almost healed. Wound care had put a cast on my foot on a Friday and the following Tuesday When they removed it I had exposed bone and what still had skin was mush underneath. I had the option of an above the ankle amputation or below the knee. So it’s been two weeks since my below the knee amputation.
This whole process is not something I’ve handled real well. I was hoping to try and hunt a little this year but alas another hill to climb. As you guys hunting adventures start post some stories, it helps .
