Going to start with the 125s over H110.

Neat looking little cartridge with the pointy bullets, too.
Its a fun little cartridge with lots of potential.

If you truly desire some expansion the Speer 110 gr. Varminter is great. The Hornady 90 and 100 gr. XTP's truly work great too. The pointy bullets look cool and have great long range ballistic coefficients but mainly mash the tips only, out of my .300 GNR. FWIW.
Agreed. Out of the Contender I have settled

on the Speer 110. Still testing in the revolver to see what I like.

ended up shooting sheep with the wrong bullets. To truly attempt it with my .300 GNR revolver I'd use the Serria 125 gr. intended for speedy .30-30 loads. It has lots of bullet out front, saving capacity. I know it will hardly expand at all but I also know it will penetrate deep and straight. I have seen pointy bullets, mainly in my sand backstop, bend and yaw while penetrating. For some reason it seems RN or FN bullets do better. Just saying...
I'll give these 125s a try first.

Personally I'd rather go deep. It might be the wrong answer, but that's what I'm going to try first. I've got some Sierra 125 HPs to use if I'm unhappy. The pointy 125s are .310s for the AK. Given the slower speeds of the AK, maybe the jackets are a little thinner. I don't know. I might shoot some wet paper and see what happens.
I’m sure it will work fine for you. Just making

Federal 215 primers. Middle area of Gary’s load data. Very accurate and explosive on jackrabbits (jackalopes too).
My bullet of choice as well, G2 Pistol and Carbine...
