ended up shooting sheep with the wrong bullets. To truly attempt it with my .300 GNR revolver I'd use the Serria 125 gr. intended for speedy .30-30 loads. It has lots of bullet out front, saving capacity. I know it will hardly expand at all but I also know it will penetrate deep and straight. I have seen pointy bullets, mainly in my sand backstop, bend and yaw while penetrating. For some reason it seems RN or FN bullets do better. Just saying...
