quickly opened up the e-mail and found it was a Lyman Dominator, a fixed blade knife. I really wish the gun companies would quit recycling the names of guns from the past. The Dominator was a really neat single shot pistol. It was the chamber and barrel together that fit onto a 1911 frame. It was a single shot with the locking piece going down thru the mag well. It was a bolt action pistol and came in several calibers. We sold mostly 7-08 and 308. Admittedly the 308 in a lightweight 1911 frame was a handful. Even the all steel frame was a thumper on both ends. It would be neat if someone decided to bring it back. There are several guns that i think would sell if brought back. The Dominator and the old Hawkeye are 2 of them. The Hawkeye being another single shot pistol. At least it was until Ruger decided to recycle the name to a rifle. Here is the Dominator..
